Savepoint — backup & restore for Shopify

Terms of Service

Effective October 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of Savepoint (the "app"), a backup and restore app for Shopify stores operated by Anchor Apps ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms.

The service

Savepoint makes scheduled and on-demand encrypted backups of your store's catalog and content, verifies them, and lets you restore, export, or download that data. What is and isn't covered by a backup is stated in plain language on the app's "What's protected" page — that page is the authoritative description of coverage.

Your customers' data

Where Savepoint handles personal data of your customers or store visitors, our Data Processing Agreement applies and is part of these terms. You are the controller of that data and we are your processor.

Fees and billing

  • Plans and prices are listed on the app's Shopify App Store page and are billed through Shopify's billing system to your Shopify account. We never see your payment details.
  • Paid plans include a free trial as described at checkout. You can cancel anytime by downgrading or uninstalling; Shopify's standard proration rules apply.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your Shopify account secure — anyone with admin access to your store can restore or export backups.
  • Review the restore preview before confirming a restore. Restores modify live store data; the app always saves a safety copy first, but you are responsible for what you choose to restore.
  • Use the app only for stores you own or are authorized to manage.

Service limits and disclaimers

  • Backups depend on Shopify's APIs. Data that Shopify's APIs do not expose (listed on the "What's protected" page) cannot be backed up or restored, and API changes by Shopify may affect coverage.
  • The app is provided "as is". We work hard to make backups reliable — every backup is re-downloaded and verified, and stored with two independent providers — but no backup service can guarantee zero data loss in every circumstance.
  • Savepoint is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify Inc.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or related to the app is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data beyond that amount.

Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it — your data is then permanently deleted as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate service for abuse, non-payment, or if required to by Shopify or law.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced inside the app and take effect 14 days after notice. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
